1964 GTO

1964 PHS documented real GTO with its numbers matching original born with engine. This is a nice driver quality GTO equipped with ps, pb, rare factory air conditioning. Paint is very slick and shiny but the car is not perfect, it is a nice driver. it shows very well at local shows and cruise nights, most people are very complimentary on how it looks, but my opinion is that its nice, but absolutely not to be confused with a high end show car.

engine has been cleaned and detailed, but appears to have never been out of the car. I cleaned the engine pad after I bought and it perfectly matches the protecta plate stamp on the phs. , all ac parts are on the car (compressor is still original and still has its original 64 stamp and label), but I have never tried to charge it to see if it works, blower and heat do work. bumpers are nice, all lights work, all weather strips are nice, tires are repop bias ply redlines, while they look great, they are not modern radials. The car rides, drives and stops well, but has been driven very infrequently over the past 18 years.

interior is decent and shows well,  but seats are not 100% correct, over the years someone has put cloth inserts in the seats, they were in there since at least 1993, prior owner bought the car in Florida in 1993 and they were in at that time, they are not ripped or torn, carpet is nice, door panels are nice, I knew of the car for quite a few years and it took me a while to get him to part with it. The car has had very limited use since 1993, racking up maybe a thousand miles. Engine has had headers installed at some point. When I purchased it it had glass pack mufflers, I had them changed to flowmasters, in my opinion it sounded and performed much better. underneath is not restored and is just unrestored driver quality.

Trunk is clean and equipped with mat, spare and jack, filler area is nice, gas tank was replaced after several years of storage left some ugly fuel in the tank. Brakes are all new, as is the master cylinder. car has also recently been serviced.

Car is still very close to the way it was built and other then color still matches most all of the phs. bottom line is that this is a nice, clean, good running, matching number, documented, real 64 GTO.
